[ET Net News Agency, 27 February 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$234.97 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$39.59 billion, or 16.85% of the
market's turnover. There were 679 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.73 billion and HK$3.74
billion, or 16.99% and 9.44% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 77.16% and 12.83% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$3.36 billion and HK$3.2 billion of
short sales, accounting for 8.49% and 8.09% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 32.38% and 22.75% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.14, or 2.4%, to HK$5.69. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$4.3, or
7.64%, to HK$52. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.16, or 0.67% to HK$23.8. BABA-W declined by
HK$2.9, or 2.12%, to HK$134.
