[ET Net News Agency, 28 February 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$191.69 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.87 billion, or 13.49% of the
market's turnover. There were 679 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.92 billion and HK$2.55
billion, or 11.27% and 9.85% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 43.12% and 34.71% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$2.39 billion and HK$2.36 billion of
short sales, accounting for 9.23% and 9.11% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 20.29% and 13.63% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.215, or 3.74%, to HK$5.535. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$2.22,
or 2.48%, to HK$87.14. BABA-W fell HK$5.7, or 4.2% to HK$130. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$0.55, or 1.04%, to HK$52.55.
