[ET Net News Agency, 14 April 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$154.26
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.48 billion, or 14.57% of the market's
turnover. There were 688 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.74 billion and HK$2.69 billion, or 12.18%
and 11.94% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
73.05% and 24.04% of respective stock's turnover.
BYD COMPANY (01211) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.01 billion and HK$981.53
million of short sales, accounting for 4.49% and 4.37% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 39.88% and 6.57% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.136, or 2.83%, to HK$4.936. BABA-W ended up HK$5.7, or
5.53%, to HK$108.7. BYD COMPANY rose HK$9, or 2.44% to HK$377.8. TRACKER FUND jumped
HK$0.52, or 2.45%, to HK$21.74.
