[ET Net News Agency, 15 April 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$185.06
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$29.02 billion, or 15.68% of the market's
turnover. There were 700 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.7 billion and HK$2.15 billion, or 9.29%
and 7.42% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 31.57%
and 18.8% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.49 billion and HK$1.14 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.15% and 3.94% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.16% and 7.52% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.2, or 0.25%, to HK$81.7. BABA-W ended up HK$1.7, or 1.57%, to
HK$109.9. TENCENT rose HK$2, or 0.44% to HK$456. TRACKER FUND jumped HK$0.04, or 0.18%, to
HK$21.76.
