[ET Net News Agency, 16 April 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$219.99
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.46 billion, or 15.66% of the market's
turnover. There were 720 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.56 billion and HK$2.67
billion, or 10.32% and 7.76% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 41.14% and 20.92% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$2.23 billion and HK$1.8 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.48% and 5.22% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 18.21% and 27.11% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.216, or 4.41%, to HK$4.682. TRACKER FUND ended down
HK$0.42, or 1.93%, to HK$21.34. BABA-W fell HK$4.5, or 4.09% to HK$105.4. HSCEI ETF
declined by HK$2.18, or 2.67%, to HK$79.52.
