[ET Net News Agency, 17 April 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$117.28
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.99 billion, or 14.49% of the market's
turnover. There were 671 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.59 billion and HK$2.24
billion, or 21.12% and 13.19% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 67.25% and 20.6% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.08 billion and HK$631.73 million of
short sales, accounting for 6.36% and 3.72% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 17.16% and 8.88% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.13, or 2.78%, to HK$4.812. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.38, or
1.78%, to HK$21.72. BABA-W rose HK$3.3, or 3.13% to HK$108.7. TENCENT jumped HK$13.4, or
2.99%, to HK$461.4.
