[ET Net News Agency, 4 June 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$119.03
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.77 billion, or 13.25% of the market's
turnover. There were 651 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.37 billion and HK$1.11 billion, or 8.7%
and 7.06% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 47.78%
and 24.26% of respective stock's turnover.
BYD COMPANY (01211) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.05 billion and HK$1.02 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.63% and 6.46% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 31.76% and 20.02% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.055, or 1.08%, to HK$5.15. BABA-W ended up HK$1.5, or 1.32%,
to HK$115.4. BYD COMPANY rose HK$6.6, or 1.65% to HK$407.2. MEITUAN-W jumped HK$5.6, or
4.1%, to HK$142.2.
