[ET Net News Agency, 5 June 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$222.03
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$33.78 billion, or 15.21% of the market's
turnover. There were 693 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.35 billion and HK$2.01
billion, or 12.88% and 5.95% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 37.03% and 42.57% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.84 billion and HK$1.43 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.45% and 4.25% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 22.67% and 15.78% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.24, or 1%, to HK$24.2. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.11, or
2.15%, to HK$5.225. MEITUAN-W rose HK$3.7, or 2.63% to HK$144.4. BABA-W jumped HK$3.7, or
3.23%, to HK$118.3.
