[ET Net News Agency, 4 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$302.23 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$40.1 billion, or 13.27% of the
market's turnover. There were 750 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.83 billion and HK$3.29
billion, or 9.55% and 8.2% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 40.9% and 17% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$2.17 billion and HK$1.29
billion of short sales, accounting for 5.42% and 3.21% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.35% and 11.54% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.09, or 1.61%, to HK$5.485. BABA-W ended down HK$4.3, or
3.21%, to HK$129.8. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.28, or 1.08% to HK$25.62. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$1.12, or 1.21%, to HK$91.6.
