[ET Net News Agency, 5 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$299.95 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$37.64 billion, or 12.55% of the
market's turnover. There were 739 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and POP MART
(09992) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.57 billion and HK$1.93
billion, or 9.49% and 5.14% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 21.4% and 31.31% of respective stock's turnover.
HORIZONROBOT-W (09660) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.93 billion and HK$1.9 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.13% and 5.04% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 27.79% and 16.5% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$2, or 1.54%, to HK$131.8. POP MART ended up HK$3, or 0.98%, to
HK$309.6. HORIZONROBOT-W rose HK$0.82, or 9.12% to HK$9.81. TENCENT jumped HK$13, or
2.19%, to HK$605.5.
