HSI extends its rise to 500+ pts and is now at 23,242

[ET Net News Agency, 7 October 2024] The Hang Seng Index extended its rise to more than
500 points, or 504 points to 23,241. The Hang Seng Index now rose 504 points, or 2.2% to
23,241; with market turnover of 37.93b; the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index now rose 216
points, or 2.7% to 8,372; the Hang Seng TECH Index now rose 213 points, or 4.1% to 5,440.
BABA-W (09988) now rose HK$2.5, or 2.2% to HK$116.4, with turnover of HK$1.99b; SMIC
(00981) rose HK$5.7, or 20.8% to HK$33.05, with turnover of HK$2.03b; HKEX (00388) rose
HK$18.8, or 5% to HK$395, with turnover of HK$1.36b. (ed)
