[ET Net News Agency, 28 February 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$406.26 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$57.38 billion, or 14.12% of the
market's turnover. There were 715 short-selling stocks. XIAOMI-W (01810) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.41 billion and HK$5.53
billion, or 11.17% and 9.64% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 18.36% and 36.69% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$5.19 billion and HK$3.88 billion
of short sales, accounting for 9.05% and 6.76% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 39.57% and 14.32% of respective stock's
turnover.
XIAOMI-W closed down HK$1.25, or 2.35%, to HK$51.85. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$3.26, or
3.65%, to HK$86.1. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.325, or 5.65% to HK$5.425. BABA-W declined by
HK$8.2, or 6.04%, to HK$127.5.
