[ET Net News Agency, 3 April 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$289.49
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$61.21 billion, or 21.15% of the market's
turnover. There were 727 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$11.47 billion and HK$10.67 billion, or
18.74% and 17.43% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 49.6% and 40.99% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$4.7 billion and HK$2.79 billion of
short sales, accounting for 7.68% and 4.55% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 62.59% and 13.61% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.22, or 1.4%, to HK$86.04. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.38, or
1.62%, to HK$23.14. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.11, or 2.07% to HK$5.2. BABA-W declined by
HK$6.5, or 5%, to HK$123.5.
