[ET Net News Agency, 10 April 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$245.41
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$53.28 billion, or 21.71% of the market's
turnover. There were 718 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$9.37 billion and HK$7.5
billion, or 17.58% and 14.08% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 70.01% and 29.76% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$4.52 billion and HK$2.81 billion of
short sales, accounting for 8.49% and 5.28% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 26.97% and 17.25% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.114, or 2.48%, to HK$4.708. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.36,
or 1.75%, to HK$20.9. BABA-W rose HK$1.8, or 1.74% to HK$105.4. TENCENT jumped HK$4.8, or
1.09%, to HK$446.
