[ET Net News Agency, 6 June 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$235.62
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.51 billion, or 14.65% of the market's
turnover. There were 687 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and KUAISHOU-W (01024)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.04 billion and HK$1.74 billion, or
11.71% and 5.03% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
30.5% and 19.25% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and BYD COMPANY (01211) registered HK$1.71 billion and HK$1.61 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.95% and 4.66% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 19.5% and 13.61% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.04, or 0.17%, to HK$24.16. KUAISHOU-W ended up HK$4.6, or
8.44%, to HK$59.1. BABA-W fell HK$1.7, or 1.44% to HK$116.6. BYD COMPANY declined by HK$9,
or 2.18%, to HK$403.
