[ET Net News Agency, 2 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$135.21
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.01 billion, or 11.1% of the market's
turnover. There were 687 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.29 billion and HK$946.05 million, or
8.61% and 6.3% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
19.98% and 24.28% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$612.88 million and HK$559.06 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.08% and 3.72% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.41% and 11.68% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.16, or 0.65%, to HK$24.68. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$0.1, or
0.08%, to HK$125.2. BABA-W fell HK$0.1, or 0.09% to HK$109.7. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.3, or
0.5%, to HK$60.25.
