[ET Net News Agency, 7 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$109.51
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.32 billion, or 13.07% of the market's
turnover. There were 671 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.1 billion and HK$1.2 billion, or
14.69% and 8.36% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
46.61% and 20.66% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$992.75 million and HK$396.54 million
of short sales, accounting for 6.93% and 2.77% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.63% and 8.42% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.01, or 0.19%, to HK$5.12. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$2.9, or
2.4%, to HK$117.9. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.38, or 0.43% to HK$87.74. BABA-W declined by
HK$0.3, or 0.29%, to HK$104.8.
