[ET Net News Agency, 8 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$117.2
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.64 billion, or 11.64% of the market's
turnover. There were 684 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.82 billion and HK$663.96
million, or 13.32% and 4.87% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 47.98% and 14.18% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$638.47 million and HK$593.37 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.68% and 4.35% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 22.48% and 12.72% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.07, or 1.36%, to HK$5.205. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.22, or
0.9%, to HK$24.58. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.84, or 0.95% to HK$88.86. BABA-W jumped HK$1, or
0.95%, to HK$106.4.
