billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$40.23 billion, or 15.8% of the market's
turnover. There were 740 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.12 billion and HK$2.88
billion, or 12.72% and 7.17% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 31.37% and 27.73% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$2.23 billion and HK$1.95 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.54% and 4.84% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 41.19% and 16.93% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.28, or 1.11%, to HK$24.98. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.055, or 1.03%, to HK$5.3. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.86, or 0.95% to HK$90.08. TENCENT
declined by HK$15, or 2.73%, to HK$535.
