[ET Net News Agency, 9 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$294.03 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$46.82 billion, or 15.92% of the
market's turnover. There were 744 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.88 billion and HK$5.16
billion, or 12.56% and 11.01% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 22.99% and 66.63% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$2.83 billion and HK$2.52 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.05% and 5.38% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 28.29% and 20.32% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$4.6, or 3.35%, to HK$141.9. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.075, or
1.33%, to HK$5.715. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.34, or 1.3% to HK$26.54. TENCENT jumped HK$9.5,
or 1.54%, to HK$627.
