[ET Net News Agency, 10 September 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$169.61 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.9 billion, or 12.91% of the
market's turnover. There were 701 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.21 billion and HK$1.71
billion, or 14.64% and 7.81% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 18.14% and 27.86% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.25 billion and HK$1.05 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.7% and 4.78% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 24.79% and 15.12% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$3, or 2.11%, to HK$144.9. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.36, or 1.36%,
to HK$26.9. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.115, or 2.01% to HK$5.83. TENCENT jumped HK$11, or
1.75%, to HK$638.
