[ET Net News Agency, 10 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$288.21 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$39.57 billion, or 13.73% of the
market's turnover. There were 736 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.71 billion and HK$2.39
billion, or 11.91% and 6.03% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 17.88% and 23.51% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$2.3 billion and HK$2.28 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.81% and 5.76% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 28.72% and 18.7% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$0.9, or 0.63%, to HK$142.8. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.26, or 0.98%,
to HK$26.8. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.08, or 1.4% to HK$5.795. TENCENT jumped HK$6.5, or
1.04%, to HK$633.5.
