[ET Net News Agency, 11 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$325.21 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$43.93 billion, or 13.51% of the
market's turnover. There were 757 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.48 billion and HK$3.64
billion, or 17.03% and 8.29% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 29.97% and 28.65% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and CPIC (02601) registered HK$2.41 billion and HK$1.94 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.48% and 4.42% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.79% and 60.79% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$0.5, or 0.35%, to HK$143.3. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.52, or 0.54%,
to HK$95.2. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.08, or 0.3% to HK$26.72. CPIC jumped HK$0.96, or 2.98%,
to HK$33.16.
