[ET Net News Agency, 15 September 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$162.01 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.06 billion, or 12.38% of the
market's turnover. There were 717 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.51 billion and HK$2.33
billion, or 12.49% and 11.62% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 18.29% and 23.93% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.72 billion and HK$1.37
billion of short sales, accounting for 8.56% and 6.82% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 34.77% and 41.43% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$4.3, or 2.85%, to HK$155.4. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.14, or 0.52%,
to HK$27.14. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.46, or 0.48% to HK$96.54. CSOP HS TECH jumped HK$0.08, or
1.36%, to HK$5.95.
