[ET Net News Agency, 18 September 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$204.71 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.03 billion, or 10.27% of the
market's turnover. There were 726 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.55 billion and HK$1.74
billion, or 12.14% and 8.28% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 15.77% and 21.48% of respective stock's turnover.
BIDU-SW (09888) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.42 billion and HK$1.3 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.74% and 6.19% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 41.47% and 16.44% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$0.9, or 0.56%, to HK$162.5. TRACKER FUND ended flat, to HK$27.52.
BIDU-SW rose HK$5.4, or 4.12% to HK$136.4. MEITUAN-W jumped HK$1.8, or 1.71%, to HK$107.
