[ET Net News Agency, 25 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$314.89 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$45.16 billion, or 14.34% of the
market's turnover. There were 767 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.37 billion and HK$2.65
billion, or 14.11% and 5.86% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 21.21% and 17.54% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$2.52 billion and HK$2.33 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.58% and 5.17% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 22.24% and 12.09% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$2, or 1.15%, to HK$172. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.04, or 0.15%,
to HK$27.14. TENCENT rose HK$1.5, or 0.23% to HK$650. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$2.55, or 4.48%,
to HK$59.45.
