HK$128.14 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.36 billion, or 13.54% of the
market's turnover. There were 708 short-selling stocks. POP MART (09992) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.19 billion and HK$1.09
billion, or 6.85% and 6.3% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 21.29% and 37.95% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and SMIC (00981) registered HK$1.02 billion and HK$606.68 million of
short sales, accounting for 5.86% and 3.5% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.97% and 16.19% of respective stock's turnover.
POP MART closed up HK$10.6, or 4.23%, to HK$261. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.125, or
2.12%, to HK$5.765. BABA-W fell HK$4.7, or 2.85% to HK$160.4. SMIC declined by HK$0.6, or
0.81%, to HK$73.45.
