[ET Net News Agency, 7 November 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$115.15 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.89 billion, or 12.93% of the
market's turnover. There were 703 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and POP MART
(09992) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$923.33 million and HK$796.34
million, or 6.2% and 5.35% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 17.67% and 27.75% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$659.31 million and HK$541.01 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.43% and 3.63% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.89% and 13.53% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$4.7, or 2.85%, to HK$160.3. POP MART ended down HK$12, or 5.51%,
to HK$205.6. XIAOMI-W fell HK$1.36, or 3.13% to HK$42.08. TENCENT declined by HK$14.5, or
2.25%, to HK$629.5.
