[ET Net News Agency, 14 November 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$125.01 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.27 billion, or 13.81% of the
market's turnover. There were 752 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.71 billion and HK$1.24 billion, or
9.92% and 7.18% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
22.16% and 17.59% of respective stock's turnover.
BIDU-SW (09888) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$815.43 million and HK$780.39 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.72% and 4.52% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 39.16% and 15.47% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$5.5, or 3.4%, to HK$156.5. TENCENT ended down HK$6, or 0.91%, to
HK$650. BIDU-SW fell HK$9.1, or 7.21% to HK$117.1. HSCEI ETF declined by HK$1.26, or
1.29%, to HK$96.68.
