[ET Net News Agency, 14 November 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$232.79 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.77 billion, or 14.94% of the
market's turnover. There were 800 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.79 billion and HK$2.35 billion, or
8.02% and 6.76% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
17.6% and 18.21% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.62 billion and HK$1.37
billion of short sales, accounting for 4.67% and 3.95% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 10.15% and 14.05% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$7.1, or 4.38%, to HK$154.9. TENCENT ended down HK$15, or 2.29%, to
HK$641. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.46, or 1.69% to HK$26.72. HSCEI ETF declined by HK$1.88, or
1.92%, to HK$96.06.
