HSI extends its rise to 800+ pts and is now at 20,877

[ET Net News Agency, 18 October 2024] The Hang Seng Index extended its rise to more than
800 points, or 800 points to 20,879. The Hang Seng Index now rose 797 points, or 4% to
20,876; with market turnover of 186.8b; the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index now rose 322
points, or 4.5% to 7,501; the Hang Seng TECH Index now rose 286 points, or 6.6% to 4,636.
MEITUAN-W (03690) now rose HK$16, or 9.4% to HK$186.2, with turnover of HK$7.11b;
TENCENT (00700) rose HK$22, or 5.3% to HK$434.6, with turnover of HK$7.82b; BABA-W (09988)
rose HK$3.5, or 3.6% to HK$102, with turnover of HK$8.04b. (ed)
